I am able to set up an event in Manchester if anyone would like to participate.

I should be cool for a meet up in Manchester, only 30 minutes on the train away from me.

I live a bit further down in the Midlands but it would be great to go up to Manchester.

I live about 20 minutes away from the centre of Manchester, not a problem for me to attend. Any locations in mind?

Aye, was thinking that myself. There's a great Café Nero there too, it's made of glass for the most part and there's a great seating area outside. If you didn't know it was there you wouldn't even think to look for it.

There is indeed, not been in there for years, I hear it's all changed? Is there any places to sit and get drinks?

They still have the café on the top floor and a coffee shop on the middle floor. I personally like the top café the best.

Ooh, I went in to Afflecks for the first time on Saturday, I really like that place. Never been to Picadilly Gardens. Wherever in Manchester center would be good for me though, as long as its not the Manchester Eye, that thing is gross!!

I went on the Manchester Eye once. I threw up in a Burger King paper bag. Not a good choice for a meet-up. I dig the novelty of trading while several hundred feet up but it's not for me, haha.

But yeah, Affleck's is a great place. Piccadilly Gardens is only a stone's throw away too, so if it was a nice enough day and the fountains were on, a sit outside so we didn't feel like such nerds could be a good idea too.

I can't even look at it. I have a serious thing about heights, my boyfriend for a joke suggested we go on it on Saturday. It looks horrendous, so respect for you going on that!!

I just googled "places to meet in Manchester" and the fourth link down was a site advising where the best glory holes are in Manchester. Not quite what I was looking for

Glory holes are a popular meeting place, but I can't imagine shouting "have you got a Magmar you want to trade?" through a cubicle wall would go down very well!

I know a few cafes and such, they seem like decent places to meet.

There's a Waterstones just off Deansgate that has a new cafe/bar opening at the end of August, the old one was fine as it is so hopefully the updated version will be fantastic.
